This course is designed so that a student will gain an in-depth understanding of the concepts and appropriate use of data stored in IBM’s relational database DB2. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

l   Be familiar with the DB2 family

l   Know how to create, access, modify, and manage DB2 objects

l   Possess an in-depth knowledge of SQL, DDL, DML, DCL statements

l   Know how to develop functions, stored procedures and triggers

l   Know how to use DB2 GUI tools & command tools

l   Know how to perform backup, restore and roll-forward recovery

l   Know how to use DB2 Maintenance, Diagnosis, Tuning tools
