l  Describe SQL Server architecture

l  Plan for a SQL Server installation & install an instance of SQL Server

l  Manage files & databases, including determining resource requirements

l  Choose a login security method, configure login security, plan & implement database permissions, & describe how to secure SQL Server in an enterprise network

l  Perform & automate administrative tasks & create custom administrative tools

l  Back up databases & implement a backup strategy

l  Restore databases

l  Monitor & optimize SQL Server performance
