l  Sign on and off i5 and iSeries system form a display station

l  Use the various display station keyboards

l  Using HELP for most i5/OS and OS/400 functions

l  Send and receive/remove messages, and work with message queues

l  Display and change your user profile, change your password

l  Secure an object, and name the other objects involved in security

l  Describe the various types of screen layouts you see on the iSeries system

l  Explain how work (jobs) is handled by the system, track the batch work and jobs you submit

l  Use control language (CL) commands

l  Using Operation Navigator to perform basic functions on an iSeries system

l  Use system displays, Control Language commands, messages, and Help support.

l  Start and Stop the system

l  Monitor and control jobs, output, and devices

l  Use OS/400 security and save/restore functions

l  Save and restore objects

l  Resolve system problems

l  Order, receive and install PTFs
